Richard

Brothers again together do meet;

A grandson there with hugs to greet;

Family and Friends in love surround

And peace and joy in all abound.

A Saturday’s Warrior has gone home.

We watched him work and laugh and pray

And admired him more with each passing day.

Richard left a legacy of lessons to spare

In Courage, in love, in faith most rare.

Richard is choice in spirit, one of the best;

And he had to be for his special test.

From a day in his youth he undoubtedly knew,

His test could be short and his days could be few.

With a nobility and humor and faith he fought

And showed by example the lessons taught.

With a Father in Heaven very close by,

Watching and waiting with a joyful eye.

Now in peace and joy and love,

He waits for each of us at that heavenly gate

For when I pass and Richard I see,

That my salvation is no more maybe

For I know that within his eyes

There was always the celestial heavenly prize.

In all that has been said today;

In all that is believed with hope and love;

In all that has gone on before;

And all that will be forever more;

But Today we miss you Richard;

For today a Saturday’s Warrior is home.
